October 2017
- Ford Fiesta ST – pocket-rocket hot hatch should go on sale in late 2017 and be powered by a 197hp 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine
- Jaguar XE R – hot XE will target BMW M3 and Mercedes AMG’s C63 saloon and go on sale after facelifted XE
- Jeep Compass – Jeep’s Qashqai-sized crossover will slot below the Cherokee but will still retain strong mud-plugging abilities
- Mitsubishi ASX – all-new SUV is expected to go on sale after making a public debut at the Tokyo Motor Show
- Volkswagen Touareg – third generation Touareg will share it’s platform with the new Audi Q7 and could get a third row of seats
November 2017
- BMW X3 – big-selling SUV gets a subtle makeover, on sale 11 November
- Range Rover Velar Coupe – svelte BMW X6 rivalling SUV Coupe should go on sale in 2017
- Renault Megane RS – hot version of Renault’s new hatchback aims to topple the SEAT Leon Cupra and Honda Civic Type R when it goes on sale, probably in 2017
- SEAT Arona crossover – smaller SUV to take on Juke and C4 Cactus
- Toyota Yaris hot hatch – more potent version of the Yaris will go on sale in late 2017
- Vauxhall Zafira – the new Zafira could morph into a crossover much like it’s little brother, the Meriva
- VW Tiguan R – hotter version of the German brand’s high-riding SUV could be available before 2018
December 2017
- Audi RS1 – The Audi A1’s swansong will be offered with a range of tasty RS upgrades before a new model is launched in 2018
- Abarth 500X – tuned crossover will go up against MINI’s Countryman Cooper S in late 2017 or early 2018
- BMW i5 – mid-sized BMW hybrid will be the brand’s most practical yet and could go on sale before 2018
- BMW M5 – latest in a long line of super saloons from the German brand
- Jaguar E-Pace – smaller SUV could go on sale before 2018
- Jaguar XE Convertible – 4 seater Jaguar is likely to have a folding canvas roof and may eventually get an ‘R’ version
- Lexus RC convertible – drop-top version of the RC coupe could go on sale before 2018 – if given the go-ahead
- Mini Saloon – three-box version of the cutesy retro hatchback could be launched as soon as 2017
- SEAT Leon Cupra R – high-performance hot-hatch rival to the VW Golf R could go on sale before 2018
- Skoda Kodiaq vRS – rapid SUV could feature a twin-turbo 237hp diesel engine
- Tesla Model 3 – 3 Series-sized Tesla should have a mainstream price
- Toyota FT-1 (Supra) – jointly developed with BMW, new coupe will be rear-wheel drive
